Assignment Task: Blog Post #2

1. What was the most challenging part about designing the monogram in each of the Adobe Apps?

2. Did you understand how to finalize a project for Print Ready use? 

3. Why a final PDF so important?

The most challenging part was choosing one of the few versions I made and how to actually move them from one app to another and how to actually finish it without the white background. It took me awhile, but I think I got it somewhat. It's important because it's the finished work once exported you can't work on it anymore.

1. Where are you with your Graphic Design experience today?

2. What courses have you taken and how do you feel about your graphic design experiences?

3. What do you hope to learn in this Graphic Design II course?

I'm probably behind due to not really remembering much due not being in this courses constantly enough to actually get a feel or flow due to still trying to adjust to the college flow and how different it is since I'm not constant taking classes as I should and I'm still struggling slightly to understand and trying to fix my fafsa to afford adobe. I'm a slow learner so I hope to learn something that will stick enough to be or at least something I can remember to be useful and so I can pass this course

1.  What was your topic for the poster?

    it was on mental health in general.

2. Where did you go to find the research?

    i went to the internet to figure out everything then i was told to go to a specific 

    site like nami to get text and a way together into contact.

3. What font did you design with and why (what expression did you want to express with this font?) How did you apply the Typography rules? (use words like Kerning, Tracking, legibility, Contrast and so on)

    i used the font Acumin variable concept.

4. Did you apply the principles of design to the composition? Was the most difficult challenge you faced with the poster?

    the most difficult part was putting it together into a poster and figuring out how it worked.

5. What are your goals for the gallery? What was your favorite Graphic Design piece from the Gallery Show?

    i didnt know due to going to get financial aid completed and taken care of.

Typographical 2 Page Spread & InDesign Blog Post #3

1. How did you begin to design your 2 Page Spread?

I just went with what I understood due to not asking  and trying to get it together .

2. How did you consider your FONT CHOICE, grids and columns to best design your composition choice?

had to redo it multiple times due to having to much.

3. When you applied a grid did it help to design the Page Spread and how does it impact your text? 

had too much text had no idea where to put everything

4. Did you consider your levels of hierarchy with text as you designed to create a dynamic composition?

 1.  What font did you choose for the poster?

    I choose the font Indie flower.

2. What did you learn about that font in your research

    indie flower is a hand written script font. It is a 2010's font designed by Kimberly geswein.

3. What application and tools did you use to design the Poster? How do you feel about Font Design?

    it fine I guess? I was just more surprised by the fact I did research. as to how I felt about the design it cool.

4. What Principles of Design and Gestalt theories did you utilize as you designed your poster? Do you feel you were successful in designing a harmonious composition emphasizing Type?

    I don't know I don't think I did?

1) Describe who you are as an artist, designer, and student. What you are focusing on in your field of study? What are people going to read on this blog?

I am still unsure where I'm at since I wasn't sure I was ever going to start school after highschool I never planned what I was going to do outside of highschool after. so I never really thought about what I was going to do. so I just chose art of any kind since that seemed the safest option for me so I'm still
trying to figure where I stand in this.

2) What are your thoughts on blogging? How can it be useful in the business world?

Blogging can be used as a way to show one's work and find inspiration.One could also use it to make money and announcements/updates.

3) Have you ever had a blog? Do you blog on any other platform?

I have not blogged I m not a really social person but i post on instagram every now and then.

4) What are your goals with this class and Typography?

I haven’t really heard of this course so im going into it blind and just to see if i can learn anything.
